Alex von Furstenberg is the Arrow Capital Management chief investment officer as well as the co-managing member. Arrow Capital is a private investment business specializing in public equities. He has also acted as the private investment firm Arrow Investments Inc’s chief investment officer since 2001. He as well headed the Diane von Furstenberg Studio LP, a world-wide leading luxury lifestyle corporation, while raising its yearly revenue of $1 million to $200 million. Up to the present, he is the Studio’s partner and director.

Beyond his efforts in business, Alex von Furstenberg also has his eye on philanthropic work. Currently, he is the secretary and director of The Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation. Von Furstenberg does not manage the organization alone; it is also managed by his step-father, Barry Diller, who is the chief executive officer of InterActiveCorp/IAC; his mother, Diane von Furstenberg; and his sister, Tatiana von Furstenberg.

The Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation has been recently engaging in various endeavors in helping promoting education, environment advocacy, childcare, community reform, arts and humanities, human rights, and disease research. The organization is the one behind the two notable donations to the High Line, a New York City park that was developed on the base of a decommissioned railway.

Alex von Furstenberg, a member of the National Advisory Council of ACRIA, is also a member of the board of the Friends of the High Line.
