The Drip Tray and How To Empty It
The Water Delivery Company receives the same enquiry time and time again and in answer to that we’ll use these notes to give some plain guidelines to the most often . One of the foremost things that seem to arise when someone gets a cooler for the first time is ‘How Do I drain the Drip Tray?’. Eventually the drip reservoir of the water coolers will fill up and if you don’t empty it then you’ll end up with water on the floor – spoiling the carpet or potentially ruining a laminate or wooden – so keeping on top of the water drip tray is essential. Another snag that can arise from not emptying the drip tray is the accumulation up of bacteria and algae – the drip tray is unsanitary and it looks nasty. To begin – take off any tray which may sit on top of your drip reservoir. Many water coolers have this and they are there just to support the cup as you pour water. With a littel firm pressure the drip trays can easily unclip allowing the grill to be removed. Having removed the grill you’ll have a firmer grip on the drip reservoir itself. Again using firm pressure pull the drip tray towards you and you’ll find it unclips. Empty out any water into a sink or bucket. Give the inside of the drip reservoir a wipe with a cleaning cloth and you may like to use a little gentle cleaning fluid or detergent at this stage just to completely disinfect the drip tray and maximise its hygiene level. Once the dripreservoir is empty you can simply clip it back into place using firm pressure. You’ll feel the snap as it clips back into home. Lastly replace the grill if the reservoir has one and you’re all done!
